Living at the Washington coast means you need to be aware of approaching winter storms.
High wind warnings are the most common weather warning for this area and are most likely to happen from November through February.
A high wind warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
